This is just a prototype....

This is my 1st time using RPG maker (mv/mz).

Basically, I just messing around with the mechanic to learn more about it.

Feel free to comment or anything.

If you can teach me more about RPG maker, it really helps me a lot.

For some reason, Itch.io Has a files limit so I have to remove some files in this project to make it possible to upload the beta/prototype on this platform .They say the limit is 1GB but my game just < 100MB  but there too many files...so....

Holy Jesus...

first off to help your data size problem, there is a checkbox to not export unused files... If you didn't already know this!

Second off... This is your first time using RPG Maker? If you worked on VX or other platforms i believe you but if I compare this to my first project you're a natural!

One thing i recommend is to use the Name input upgrade plugin by SumRndmDde wich wllows you to type the name instead of navigating the cursor! (Link) ((Additionally you could leave the namespace empty so there is nothing there but that's not annoying or anything))

Also the sounds are a little bit loud compared to the music.

The english is a bit off sometimes but that is ok and not very distracting.

If you want your game to be playable using WASD i recommend downloading Yanfly engine's Keyboard config plugin! (Link )

The fights are very well balanced! I never had the problem of loosing a match because an enemy has 10 kajillion HP... Very well done!

I could recommend having two separate dialogues per NPC. Especially the ones that sell you goods. It will become very repetetive always having to "sit through" the same dialogue...

Also at the following (marked) tile there's an event you probably want to delete:


I find it awesome how you have a reaction for so many props and stuff! It's awesome!

In the beginning you have an effect showing wotch tiles can be interacted with, then suddenly there's nothing... I can only recommend being consistant or the player will just be confused and mindlessly runs through the game...

Somethign small but magnifficcent, when you enter a new window, make sure to let the character move one tile ahead to prevent the player from going back into the loading zone!

This was anything I can say for now! All the plugins mentioned above are free to download but make sure to read the tou. This game is very good for a first game although i'm curious if you made the maps yourself or if you used the premade ones.

I would like to thank you first for giving me tips to improve my work.

As you can see I'm not an English native speaker so that why my English is so bad and broken.

About the data file, I already export the file without the unused file but for some reason, when I looked into the file folder there are many resources that unused got export too (example: sound that I never use / some character and enemy art)

Next about the plugins that you give (I'm using the MZ maker is it possible to use any MV plugins into my MZ Maker ? or only some MV plugins can support the MZ maker?) I'm really new to plugins so I do not know much about any of them or how to use them properly.

About the sound effect the "opening chest sound" I think its default (that's how the RPG MAKER  prepare it) sometimes I just too afraid to mess with the default setting, I afraid something may cause an error.

About the fight yeah, I already send the file to my friends for the prototype test, they say that enemy is to OP and hard to defeat because enemy health is too tanky. So I reduce enemy health and increase a bit of MC damage.

The image that you show yeah, I want to remove it but keep forgetting thanks for the reminder. It supposes to be a door that lock and you have to find the key/lever to unlock but it's too complicated for me(Noobs). so I remove the door and forget to remove the event

About the tile, so you saying that I have to show (particle) on witch tile that the item(potion, etc...) (but if it at random places and if player lucky enough they can find like secret OP item)*spoiler

The map I use is all preload(Provide by RPG MAKER) since I doest know how to make my own map.(yet)

About the plugins, the first one (NameInputUpgrade) works with MZ. I actually don't know about the second one...

About the tile, I get where you are standing but it's more about continuety then about secrets. Rather have a puzzle to solve than gettting lucky but that's your choice.

Also for tutorials i can highly recommend the youtube channel "SumRndmDde" but his tutorials are in MV so you gotta know yourself...
